I want Ukraine to win, and ideally I want Russia to not be controlled by a war hungry fascist. And I understand that in the absence of the second thing happening, the best outcome involves Russians dying. But I don’t derive any joy from that.
It’s fucking disgusting to wish for people to die. Especially when many Russians are drafted and possibly arrested if they disagree with the government.
You can support Ukraine without being a warmongering asshole. War isn’t something to cheer on.
Yeah he committed 34 felonies and has a plan to systematically criminalize anyone who isn’t a cis white male, but I saw a faked video of Biden sitting down when there was no chair so really they’re both the same.
Also local elections can be decided by one vote and can be just as important.
Do not listen to the polls. Vote no matter what.
Some instances are still clinging to life. I wouldn’t rely on them but use them while you can.
Not if you just eat them whole.
Pretty much the entirety of Waltz from DS9. https://youtu.be/R2HY50xw3WU
Dukat usually appears like he’s trying to be a good person, despite all the terrible things that happened under his watch. But this episode breaks that down until he finally stops lying to himself.
I think what’s crazy about eote is that you figure things out that make everything visible, and once you understand how things work it really shouldn’t be scary anymore… but it is. As soon as you go back into the lantern’s bubble you’re just consumed by darkness and it feels just as scary as it was before - even though you know exactly what’s in the dark.
dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sda
Wipes the entire disk and replaced it with random data.
It’s kinda cheating but The Beginners Guide is a game I think about all the time. As someone who makes things, the themes it explores about validation and the purpose for creating art really hit home.
For just a profound moment, the sun station in Outer Wilds.
It really marks a turning point in the game when you find that out. I assumed like most people that it was a classic tale of science gone wrong, and now I have to fix it. As a video game it’s also really easy to assume that your goal is to fix everything - to save the solar system. But there is no villan, and no solution. You and everyone in the solar system will die and there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s a really powerful subversion of expectations that works well with the games themes.
I use https://postimages.org/
I haven’t used those so I don’t think so. But it lets you add music from local networks, and you can add streams from a URL (even supports youtube links, which is a way to watch youtube without ads without pihole or a third party app).
Everyone knows about VLC but I don’t think many people know it has a really good Android app! I use it as my primary music app and it’s great. Even has android auto support and a surprisingly sleek interface.
Does that apply to intelligence as a whole or does it vary for different skills (i.e. logical reasoning like math vs more creative skills like reading/writing.
Hey I think I got that same one, at least it was also was $15 and from Anker. Some of the outer plastic is rubbing off though so I’ve been looking for a new one. Unfortunate not many companies make good quality vertical mice - the only one I’ve seen that seems well built is the logitech mx vertical.
Yep :)
Vertical mice. I had occasional wrist pain from using a computer, which was annoying since then I’d had to take a break from the computer for about a day to recover. Got a vertical mouse and haven’t had any issues since. Took maybe a day to get used to it too.
That’s not what I said.
