What happened doesn’t matter as much as the story you tell about what happened.

Nowhere is this more manifest than Trump’s obsession with what he can’t have, loyalty.

He knows his only value is what he can provide for others and as soon as they get more utility elsewhere, they leave. This is also why he uses fear to prevent attrition, the deal they get for ‘betrayal’ must overwhelm their fear of Trump, which is dependent on his power to act on the threats, which is partly why he wants absolute power. As soon as that damn cracks and the first successful betrayal is visible, his followers will see him as powerless and begin scouting for offers to betray him as well and it all collapses. That is the exact scenario Trump fears most, the lack of power to keep people loyal. Either by offering them the most or by terrorizing them into obedience. Both can fail and inevitably, as his mind fails him and his incompetence reduces both the rewards and the ability to punish, both will fail.

They’re eager to eliminate the only means of resource acquisition we were left with, employment, the one we all depend on to stay alive, and don’t really think very much about what we’ll do when mass unemployment destroys lives and kills people.

Yep, he’s the fucking ideal.

This isn’t news. Its just another press release that will go nowhere. How about telling us about the shit that’s actually being prosecuted or actioned on in any meaningful manner? Oh…right. there isn’t any. Maybe you could report on how peculiar that is and why it is the way it is?

Get it through your fucking heads. Trump would kill you and your family to enrich himself. He’d fuck your children and rape your wife. He does not care about anyone but himself and never has. He is pure self absorbed selfishness. 80 years old in the making.

People lived horrible lives in previous ages and still had lots of kids. Of course the answer to that was plenty of rape. Buuuut they don’t see that as a problem so…it isn’t about understanding, it’s about a complete lack of empathy.

Trading favours and being un service to him is payment though.

He will pardon anyone whose useful to him, regardless of the crimes. I’m exhausted trying to get people to understand just how destructive and dangerous it is for him to be in power. None of it matters. He’s gonna get away with it all because too many people believe, for no good fucking reason, that something will stop him so the don’t have to act.

Is there not an election integrity system that is responsible for investigating and actioning on election fraud? Why is a normal law enforcement empowered to action on this?

The only way he gets any attention is behaving badly so ignoring him would probably make him act up even harder, like a toddler.

We built a complex world and failed to enable people to manage that complexity. I’m handing the presidency to MAGA, America handed a complex system to a bunch of morons who can’t manage it and they’re breaking everything.

This administration really shows how inactive citizens are in their own governance. They have the legal right to be raising hell over some of the worst possible things a government can be doing and the citizens don’t even try to exercise their constitutional responsibility to act.

It’s written for the masses to understand. Seems about the right level of writing for a country where half the population can barely read.

And the only people who have that power, and will to do so, are preoccupied with working to survive.
