Yeah, why not?
KDE Plasma 6
What init system do you use on your Linux distro?
I mean, yeah, that’s true. But I haven’t heard of many big YouTube/Odysee creators uploading their videos on PeerTube or even entirely switching to PeerTube.
It’s not just the discovery, there’s just not enough quality content.
I haven’t logged into my Reddit account since June.
I never used Twitter, so that wasn’t an issue for me.
I just stopped using Discord, if I need to message someone on the internet I suggest Matrix but I almost never use it.
I mostly use Odysee and Nebula to watch videos, if I need to use YouTube I use alternative front-ends like Piped or LibreTube. I tried PeerTube, but there’s just not enough content that I would want to watch.
The guy who wants his employees to work 100h/week and sleep on the floor in the factory calls others insane. Yeah. I have nothing to add to that.
Wow, this is really cool!
I use them for privacy reasons. They will register the domain name under their company name, you don’t have to give out any data about yourself whatsoever. You can pay anonymously with crypto currencies like Monero. Njalla was actually founded by one of the guys who also founded The Pirate Bay.
You wouldn’t download a car.
Definitely Tailscale
I really enjoy Lemmy, it’s pretty much the only social network I use nowadays. I also have a Mastodon account, but I don’t really use it, I just don’t like the concept that it follows, I don’t like Twitter and how it works either, even before the acquisition.
I hate “smart” TVs too, unfortunately I have one but I just never connected it to the internet. I only use the HDMI input to connect it to my HTPC running Linux and Kodi, it’s an awesome setup.
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
Thanks for the appreciation. I do my best to make Lemmy a place where people help each other when they can.
I would pay for it if it wasn’t a total scam.
Some Tailscale clients are open-source and you can self-host a Headscale server
