And in the meantime, we’re seeing the US vote to defund a humanitarian organization, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)), that also helps the population prove they are indigenous to Filasteen and have a right to own land there, and land that is currently colonized as well. Because they house this info, Western governments probably see it as a threat to the legitimacy of the occupation and want to erase it from history.
It’s so impossible for me to understand how this is an endorsed action. I know cruelty is the point, but has society been so brainwashed that we’re here? I don’t believe the majority of us are so morally bankrupt.
Precisely why we must make more demonstrations of this, and find ways to codify protections that prevent such negative outcomes. It starts with spreading the word of this success to other potential towns that would benefit from a structure such as this. There are lots of small community land trusts whose basic principle is keeping the land affordable and ensuring it serves the community. There’s also a strong movement to have community owned utilities be the norm. Lots of intersections there that we could learn from and that would bring the residents economic prosperity over time.
In an alternate timeline, the title to this post could refer to the amount of relief for student loan debt, or state grants for humanely addressing the homelessness, lack of healthcare accessibility, and climate crisis, for starters.

To add insult to injury, they’re also not quiet about their desire to make money from a trade route they want to build through Gaza, and the offshore oil reserves there they want to drill for so desperately. They would rather kill innocent people to level Gaza for monetary gain and positioning in the Middle East. Active, calculated cruelty.

Truth. Furthermore, accidents involving a bike and a car have mostly happened because of a lack of infrastructure and options for safe travel on bikes. Public residential streets, for example, are for all modes of transportation, not just cars. Car brains are hysterical and don’t like that, and my life has been threatened many times while riding my bike on residential streets. I even had an older woman match my speed, roll down her window, and say “Next time I see you I’m running you over.” Cyclists do absolutely nothing to deserve this, and even if they’re holding up traffic, it’s no excuse for homicide.
I’d vote for her if she ran for governor.
I’d like to point out that according to what’s reported, they’re trying to frame it as a “mental health” episode, where it appears it is not. The Airman was sending a clear message of support for Palestine, and I imagine, demonstrating a complete disgust with Israel and his leadership in continuing to fuel a genocide.
I sincerely doubt US officials or the military cares, and they’re going to double down on the individual’s “mental health” as being the culprit and source of problems rather than the infinite harms this genocide has on Palestine and those around the world with sight and soul.
Is that all these “officials” know how to do? I only ever hear them lying, spinning, redacting, harassing, bullying, shaming, and spewing hate filled messages at people they deem “lesser,” which seems to be a lot of people. (Not to mention the ongoing genocide they’re leading…)
