I want to minimize Palestinian suffering as much as possible. There is clearly a worse option and no alternative to Trump and Harris. There’s only one way to reduce harm. I hate that I have to keep doing this lesser of all evil shit but that’s what we’re living with right now.
Foreign nation interfere in U.S. elections.
If they were serious, they would be building Party infrastructure down ballot. Taking over state houses and local government positions. Doing an every four Year presidential run doesn’t help in the slightest. The most progressive messaging that has actually made some semblance of an impact is Bernie.
Let them fight meme.
Biden sucks on foreign policy. Trump would still be worse.
Trump setup up a U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. Wtf are you going on about? This is such a stupid conversation to be having. Of course Trump is worse for Palestinians.
I didn’t realize Trump supports the Palestinians!
Dude. Take the time to read and comprehend. Things can always get worse. Do you think Trump will help Palestinians?
This. Cornel west and Jill Stein are not options in this. If you live in a safely blue state, go ahead vote your heart out.
But just know that there is no scenario where West or Stein win. If that doesn’t happen and Trump wins, we will not have another election. Trump is literally going to put the most evil anti democracy zealots into very powerful roles. And with a Republican scotus, we will be fucked. That is the outcome here. So you can be pragmatic or vote your conscience but the risk is that we will be fucked.
If there’s one thing that 2016/2020 should have taught us is; presidential elections matter not just because of who is leading the country but who is selecting judges and filling very important roles in the government. Ultimately, our lesson should be that things can always get worse.
They were pushed out by a foreign nation (Israeli) lobby. Let’s not forget how this happened.
He figured out conservative view points and undermining the progressive movement was more lucrative.
One can only hope. But I’m not sold yet.
Thank fucking god. Jfc. We passed some horseshit add on by republicans last time. I’m so glad we didn’t fall for it.
Remember when Jimmy Dore went on the majority report and tried to tell people that Trump having the ability to pick supreme court justices is meaningless. And that if Trump got elected, Democrats would coalesce to stop him from passing anything. This is what your delusional post sounds like. Trump would fortify a Justice department in the image of the most extremist yes men that would get rubber-stamped by the supreme Court which has proven itself to completely ignore the letter of the law. https://majorityreportradio.com/2016/09/21/921-the-dumbest-ny-times-column-ever-a-surprise-debate-with-jimmy-dore
He still believes it whether to a smaller degree. I listened to his interview with his friend David Sirota (the point at which I stopped listening to his podcast) because they basically said the same thing.
He caucuses with the Democrats. He’s been the staunchest supporter of Biden and Harris. We don’t need to re-litigate 2016 despite the heinous shit they pulled. He is one of the only senate Democrats that supports universal healthcare. Congress has maybe 10-20.
But it doesn’t change the fact that I am voting for the outcome I want that is reasonably available to me based on the options.
I think it’s disingenuous for the green party to say that a vote for them is a vote to stop the genocide. There is literally no scenario where the genocide stops if Jill Stein gets 4% of the vote. All it does is increase the chances of another trump presidency. And while I would rather have green party politics, I am under no illusion that they have the faintest chance of actually getting them in place.
I also understand some Palestinians voting down-ballot and ignoring the Presidential race after having lost friends and family to the foreign policy of both candidates. I couldn’t imagine the pain of voting for your (or your family’s) oppressors or their enablers.
