My PS5 has 3.5 TB. 1TB internal, plus 2TB NVME, plus 512GB external.

My PC has 1TB NVME for windows, a 2TB NVME game drive, a 512GB NVME I’m not really sure what for yet, a 4TB SATA SSD backups drive, and 2TBs SATA SSD for media/downloads/older games. I also have an external 8TB HDD fo backups. So 9.5 TB of SSDs and 8TB external.

SSD prices have dropped massively lately. You should get a 2TB NVME drive, which you can easily find for $100 or less.

I was being facetious about the fat thing. Culture you can get in certain other places, but not everywhere. Many ethnic foods are only (well) represented in California, NY, and Chicago. If you don’t care you don’t care, but if you do it can be a deal breaker.

I wasn’t necessarily directing the comment at you (I hadn’t even seen your other comment), but generally to people who say they dislike California. It’s a shitty attitude, so it feels a bit rich to then claim “the fact that you’re expressing being offended is exactly why I was justified in being shitty”. Blah. It’s all bullshit. Ignorant opinions don’t deserve a positive attitude in response.

And BTW, you see this ignorance in California itself. People in Southern California think Northern California is a burning crime-ridden hellscape. People in the North think SoCal is shallow and materialistic.

They’re jealous because they’re too poor to live in CA. They believe everything they hear on the news and don’t realize that there’s more to the state than wildfires and homeless people. They aren’t cultured enough to appreciate theater, fine cuisine, fine wine. They’re too fat to surf.

Damn I should have gotten you to paint our house. Our painter just did a half assed job and started yelling at me when I pointed out lines that weren’t straight or paint splatters from the accent wall on the white wall. He also used the wrong gloss of paint in places and created these shiny patches throughout the house.

And I have to look at this every day until I decide to repaint again. Just a bit more care and effort on his part would have prevented me from being mildly annoyed every day for the next however many years.

Ever since my Unifi Dream Machine Pro router was updated with VPN and pihole functionality, I haven’t needed to use any adblocking. I can route all my traffic through my home network and it blocks ads in every context, including in apps.

As might be obvious, I completely disagree with the tweet. I hate ads. They’re predatory and abusive and they ruin the internet. Anybody who is willing to be responsible with ads has a donate/subscribe option anyway. The auto play video people with dark patterns etc. need to be obliterated. But I probably hate them even less than I hate sites like the New York Times, which charge a subscription fee and then fill their site and apps with ads anyway. Fuck off.

I think you need to move to medium-sized communities for a little bit. like /android instead of /myspecificphonemodel, or /electriccars instead of /myspecificelectriccarmodel.

The great thing about small communities is that you only need to convince a handful of people to jump ship to get them started again.
