Tea. Partially because it tastes better, but also partially because I have a low tolerance to caffeine. Drinking coffee just makes me feel jittery and shaky, not focused.

It depends on what you mean by piece of technology I guess, since what we have now is a culmination of thousands of awesome tech over the last few hundred years.
If I were to choose one thing, I’d say the telephone. It’s the predecessor to the internet, and suddenly communication between people was instant rather than messages that’d take forever (or morse for the places that had it).
It probably changed the world forever, being able to talk to someone in a completely different country and share something quickly.
Because they were getting really stale and they wanted to hold onto the franchise name anyways. People are nostalgic now, but when AC games were coming out back to back people were getting really bored of it.
When Assassin’s Creed 3 came out, everyone was saying how this is the third time they remade what is basically the same game (AC2, brotherhood, revelations, then 3). People weren’t impressed. Unity and Rogue didn’t sell that well. Syndicate apparently also didn’t sell very well.
So they basically remade the franchise into an RPG starting from Origins. They aren’t that special, but honestly, neither was everything after Revelations.
There’s a button in the bottom right to make the page wide. As for text size, I guess it’s kind of redundant since you can just zoom in the page.
Shoutout to !wizardposting@kbin.social and !witchymemes@lemmy.world as well!
I still use Eternity, but unfortunately it seems like development stopped. Still the best IMO.
Theres a whole trilogy?
My school at some point tried to be very extreme about being late. A new rule was that if you were late for even 1 minute, you won’t be allowed in the school.
I was literally walking to the door and saw a kid go in, but I wasn’t allowed in because oh I guess I was a few seconds too late.
Me and other teenagers crowded around the front door and the exchange was basically this
“So you won’t let us in?”
“No, you were late. Go home.”
And we all shrugged and took the day off. Needless to say the rule didn’t last very long and there were many angry parents.
The community right now is mostly technical, with tons of posts on Linux or just the latest tech/science news. It’s not that people will be unwelcome here if they don’t know this stuff, but I think someone that isn’t technical like my aunt will have a harder time finding content relevant to them.
Then you have the insane number of political posts and extremists which I’m sure you’ve seen around. I blocked a fair number of people just so my feed isn’t filled with junk. Not a good first impression if someone joins Lemmy and they instantly see those posts/comments.
I’ve said it before but the threadiverse (lemmy, kbin, etc) isn’t mainstream ready yet. It needs better onboarding for people who have no idea how instances work, a more appealing front-end, easier ways to find communities and content, better moderation tools, maybe some other stuff too.
Overall though? Pretty neat place to be in right now.
Oh hey, I had no idea ernest was back. Great to have him back.
An option to view all comments from crossposts when browsing a post. It’s annoying how you can see a post that’s been crossposted 5 times and wonder where the comments are.
/r/piracy is just a bunch of memes
Because otherwise it would get instantly banned. You don’t host piracy communities on social media, it’s well known
The villains aren’t good though, it just turned out that the princess has some honor in the war
Thanks for coming to me, the main character and admin of the internet. I’ll be sure to look into it.
Someone on mastodon said it was a group of Japanese spammers trying to sell their services. Not anything special, just a spam wave that’s hard to stop because they keep spamming from different instances.
I just want to know if artificial general intelligence is real, and when that’ll happen.
Oh, and go back to 2011 and buy me some bitcoin please.
I did grow up speaking it, I’m just better with my 2nd language.
I was actually in a similar situation where I wasn’t too good with my native tongue so people would constantly ask where I’m from. It’s not malicious, people just assume you’re not from here if your accent is different.
Just lots of trolls lately, most communities are fine but some have poor moderation so these types of comments/posts take some time to get deleted. All the communities I’m browsing are quite chill.
I never knew that, thanks for sharing! Also, username checks out.
