Losing an impeachment vote doesn’t count against the next attempt. Attempting over and over would show they have spines and are at least attempting to hold Trump accountable. Not holding conservatives accountable is killing support for the Dems, actually trying would help to motivate the base.

Trying and trying again to improve the odds of success are better than shooting yourself in the dick if you don’t expect to succeed.

The threat needs to either be imminent or an ongoing perpetuation of violence or other severely harmful action. An example of an ongoing severely harmful action would include being restrained physically or geographically and being starved.

Based on videos of how they do arrests, when ICE touches someone as part of an arrest they count is as assault on ICE. Like the politicians who are being charged with assault because ICE shoved them to the ground.
