Yeah I’m also using Proton but I will switch to Tuta because it has more features I think.

19·11 months agoYes you need a domain for sure. But you don’t need a server for it, in fact I don’t recommend trying to self-host mail server.
You can use Tuta, Proton Mail, Gmail or iCloud Mail services. You just need to add some DNS records to the domain to redirect mail provider.
If Lemmy.ml is taken down you can use another instance but I don’t know if it can be served from Tor 🤔
