There’s some interesting information in here for sure. Some speculation about intentional allowances for some warping to occur, and information about how some tops are basically 3-ply plywood which is a bit more stable.

Yeah I’m familiar with guitar humidors and things like that which are used to protect valuable guitars. And they make perfect sense.
But I’m thinking about just regular parlor guitars, instruments that sit out in relatively uncontrolled environments and are played regularly, and instruments that are used on tours. Those instruments are subject to all kinds of chaos, and it seems like they should all be self destructing. And yeah, some do. But most don’t. And I think that’s really weird
Thanks for listing the states, NYT. Fucking useless.
The traditional “leverage” is just the standard CEO - stockholder relationship. The CEO manages the company well and the stockholders reward the CEO with payment and/or by making the stock price go up by buying more and/or not selling. IMO that basic relationship broke down a while ago, but the stock market has been unhinged for so long that it seemed to not matter.
Oobleck for the experience. It wouldn’t clean you, but you’d have a story. Possibly mild regret if it’s in a bathtub that you need to clean or a house who’s plumbing you’re responsible for afterwards.
You can put a bunch of it in the microwave with a bowl of water to make a humid environment that might help it to form into a huge chunk. Then you can put it in a sock to persuade your local billionaire to stop fucking up society and the planet. I may have left out a few steps, what were we talking about again?
Afaik you need some external resource to coordinate the punch. The STUN protocol is purpose built for this, and both clients need to be able to reach a STUN server to coordinate which port and public IP they’ll try to connect to each other on. I assume this does something similar but with p2p network tech instead of a STUN server.
Same as it ever was
So do we get to pick which Doom-esque demon hybrid we become or is it assigned for us?
Maybe we interpreted this article differently, but Anthony Comstock was the narrow minded prude that campaigned to make it illegal?
I hadn’t considered survivorship bias or that my original assertion was wrong. Solid point.
