Ōkunoshima or rabbit island. It is an island that is literally full of rabbits, everywhere you turn a cute fucking rabbit is lurking. It was awesome!

From the UK and in my region they are called Strimmers.

Soggfy was just the first thing I tried that worked without crawling for shitty yt downloads of the same things and so I stuck with it. If the audio quality is the same then I really don’t see what difference it makes in the grand scheme of things.
I will try out zotify so thanks for the name but it isn’t like it will be any quicker as I’ll still do everything in “real time” as I want to maintain my account and not get banned as it is a family plan and I don’t want to negatively impact the other people that use the same plan.
Also I know people love to use command line but soggfy is just a modified Spotify client so I can just open it up and start what I need in a couple of clicks

You are only going to be able to get 320 mp3s from Spotify at the very best, I use soggfy to intercept the audio and rip the tracks so you need to let the playlists run (although you can up the speed they play at) and there will also consequently be some organisation needed of the files afterwards so it is far from automated but works fairly well.
A lot of the tools around take your playlists and find what it thinks are the correct tracks on YouTube and then rip from there so be wary of the quality you might get from those.
I compared a track I ripped from Spotify with a 320 mp3 of the same track I had bought with a spectrometer (I think that is the correct name) and they looked identical

Dunno how you missed it, it swamped /all for the last two years whilst active.

Different things work for different people and I appreciate the input regardless just definitely isn’t for me :D
You’d hate where I live then, surrounded by university students in a city where the bin lorry comes at fucking half 5 every morning. It fucking sucks and I miss the quietness of the countryside where I grew up!

I appreciate the reply but I cannot stand those moldable ones that are like ramming a lump of blu-tack into your ears xD I find the opposite to be true that they don’t provide as much sound insulation and they end up falling out due to the movement of your body as you work. At least that is my experience with them.
The foam ones I do use tend to be of slightly higher quality and for the most part I don’t find them irritable apart from every now and then when they cause me some pain as I mentioned before. 85 % of the time they are good though and will stay in place for 8 hours plus without me having to fuck around.
Generally I’m happy with the foam ones I get through work, it is just that 15% of the time when they can cause me some pain that I would like to alleviate.
I have also tried the silicone ear plugs that are sort of ribbed with a more solid centre to them that are sort of a middle ground between the foam and moldable silly putty ones but they are the most irritable of them all as well as not staying put either so would not recommend them to anyone!

Interesting to read, I work with industrial machines and wear generic foam type ones for 8+ hours a day Mon to Fri and will often wear the same ones when I’m out and about to drown out the noise of society too. I dont mind them for the most part as I’m so used to them however every other month it was cause my ear canal to be quite painful for about a week.
I have always considered them but never wanted to pay the price.
Do you have recommendations of brands or companies I can look into for a decent set? I’m in the UK

Just share the folder on soulseek. Probably not advisable for any sensitive information though xD

“Shape of Punk to Come” is chefs kiss been bumping that shit for over 20 years now and it is still great!

I liked their early stuff and this was probably about 9 or 10 years ago now that I saw them when they were on the dog mask kick. Since then I haven’t followed them or know anything about them so not sure what is problematic. Any more info?

Mushroomhead at a small venue were amazing, I’ve been to the venue so many times and never seen anyone do anything interesting but they were there were impressive lighting and water on the drums that was flying everywhere catching the light. Was great.
Sub Focus and Chase & Status in a tiny little venue (Chinese Laundry in Sydney) that was like a little grotto. Ceiling so low I couldn’t even stretch my arms up straight with sweet raining on everyone. Amazing.
Die Antwoord with a load of acid in my system was pretty intense.
Finally the entire Shambhala festival in Canada. The DJ playing obviously increases enjoyment but the stages are so fucking mind blowing that it is without a doubt the best live music experience I have had!

This year has been my first foray into self hosting in general. I have been doing a lot of learning and have a long way to go but have got to the point where I have proxmox running with a few VMs running an arr stack, a jellyfin server and a Plex server.
I’m just super happy to get everything running and now need to fine tune stuff. Currently trying to figure out why the Plex server is down half the time externally.
I’m having a lot of fun!

Oooo thanks for the heads up. Did you see the last Australian series of this? It was absolutely fucking horrendous and made the second season here look amazing in comparison.
The music is fucking dog shit though xD

Something different - Lorn - Just listen to everything xD
To stay more hip hop
Cult of the Damned and all of their side projects, Lee Scott is a fucking son and pretty much everything he touches is gold. My particular favourite is the “Cult Mountain” side project.

Cthulu Nigiri maybe?
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn
Yeh fair enough, just thought I’d give some feedback from my perspective, I appreciate not everyone uses it in the same way.
Either way I’ll carry on posting occasionally :D
