I have a license. I enjoy driving as a leisure activity.
But I hate driving to work. I just take the shuttle and enjoy listening to my podcasts. We have a decent public transport system as well, so it helps.
True, true. This is off-topic.
But I remember that for a certain scenario (I don’t remember exactly), my work app requested me download Intune, without which the app refused to start/update.
Do hardware tokens support Linux nowadays?
I agree but this is the next best option. This essentially creates a OS-level separation between business and personal apps.
Also, the Microsoft Intune app, which checks if your device is compliant, requires a high level permission which allows it to remote wipe your device. This is in case your device has sensitive data and gets stolen/falls into the wrong hands. This is a very risky direction where we are handing off admin access of our phone to our employers.
As long as the work profile is on.
Not a good solution but a decent one. Create a work profile on your phone, using Shelter (Fdroid, open source), and put all your work apps on that. Your data and processes are isolated and you can turn off all your work apps with a single tap. It’s like a secondary virtual phone.
Don’t you think it’s wild that a hard drive, which is just chilling inside its case, suddenly has its innards spilled out using a screwdriver, and dumped into a 24/7 NAS with other hard disks.
A bit inhumane if you ask me.
When I’m looking at a huge building or scene, I instinctively think “press F4 to enable freecam” from Minecraft so that I can look from above and noclip. But alas, it’s not possible :'(
I’mma play Minecraft then. Build a house.

Why were people asking for SSH access?
Here we go again…
This guy just said “I’m gonna make my own internet, with blackjack and hookers”
It’s also fine to have a change in hobbies as well. They liked collecting games, and now they don’t. It was not a waste of time.
I would guess a “serious gamer” is one who wants to play all the latest AAA multiplayer games. Just not possible for Linux to work for 100% on Day 1 with the ridiculous kernel-level anti-cheats.
For me, even though I play mainly on Linux, the issue is with random niche mods or hardware; Tobi eye-tracking, headtracking, VR.
i understand, and as a Linux fanatic of 8 years now, let’s not be too judgemental of the ex-Linux crowd 😄
