Essentially the GOP is mad they can’t find any reason to impeach Biden, so they blame their racist takes about border security on Mayorkas despite literally tanking a border security bill.
They are actually on the record saying that they decided that Mayorkas would be the fall guy and that it is fully for political purposes. This really is a tit-for-tat thing, very much “how dare you impeach MY president, we’ll get one of yours now”.
