Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) openly admitted that she and her Republican colleagues were “all afraid” of “retaliation” from President Donald Trump as she criticized what she called “unlawful” executive overreach and sweeping federal cuts.

America is becoming a technocracy and the political class are so paralyzed, they think a technocratic government would have space for them because they are rich and powerful now.

Technocracy means the masses are ruled by a panel of experts in their fields. Scientific, expert advice sets policy, ie. Logic rules supreme. America is not, is not becoming, and never will be, a technocracy.

America has been an oligarchy for a while, now it’s going full authoritarian.

"In more practical use, technocracy is any portion of a bureaucracy run by technologists.

Critics have suggested that a “technocratic divide” challenges more participatory models of democracy, describing these divides as “efficacy gaps that persist between governing bodies employing technocratic principles and members of the general public aiming to contribute to government decision making”

The above is from wikipedia and I must say I’m not an expert.

Academic ruling doesn’t mean an ethical ruling, it try to put efficiency above social cohesion pushing people foward and discarding the people who do not adapt since they are considered dead weight.

For me it’s clear that the powerful elite of techbros are using information to gather power, political power is becoming weak since it cannot rule what it doesn’t understand well, leaving most tech somewhat deregulated, this bottleneck allow technology to fill the gap, illustrate by Musk government and Trump being somewhat sidelined.

Technocracy would be fine. However it seems more like crazy racist incompetence. Even if they are trembling in fear, why do they not stand up?

Technocracy is more paternalistic than democracy, racism in the past was also backed by science and the firsts iq tests unfortunately, since the cost of doing science is often high it can be manipulated to political ends.

In my opinion they are scared, but feel protected by their social standing, the logical decision for them would try to stabilize their wealth and adapt to the changes or leave the country if they are politically ostracized.
