Come see our beautiful rapids! Eight visitable 360° scenes: turn around each scene and click on a hotspot to move to a different location.

This is my first sizeable 360° tour made with Pannellum. I went to our local rapids today and shot 8 photospheres at various locations, then post-processed them at home and linked them together with hotspots.

To make the scenes more interesting, I placed the camera higher up using my telescopic pole and shot most of the views at a height of 23 ft / 7 m.

I guess it could use a slightly lower FOV angle to look less distorted on a phone. It seems alright on desktop. It’s a compromise: the lower the FOV, the slower it spins around with the mouse. But of course, if you activate sensor control on the mobile version of Pannellum, this becomes moot.

I love that mode on larger tablets. I find 360 photos more memorable that the thousands of phone pics i have from special occasions.

110% with you there. Photospheres capture good memories like no photo ever can. They’re so immersive they take you rigth back. At least they’re still impressive to this easily-impressed gen-Xer 🙂
