I remember one day I was waiting for my partner to pick me up from work and there was a flock of birds in the tree next to me.

At one point, two of them flew down and both landed each of my shoulders. And they stayed there for about 5 minutes and my partner even saw it! Felt like a 28 year old white male Disney Princess.

I’ve been trying to befriend crows for awhile now. I want a crow community and I want it now.

I befriended some crows once. It was pretty great. One of them was especially bold (I named him Edgar), and would peck at my bedroom window if I was too late in coming out to give him and his mates some nuts and seeds (or if he felt I was too late).

I was super proud of it, because it was a period in my life where forming any sort of routine was both tremendously helpful, and frightfully difficult, so being able to keep things up long enough that I acquired a belligerent crow alarm clock was a huge achievement
