Ok I’m happy to offer up an argument for Platner that is not just “he’s better than Republicans”.
People are sick of the status quo and milquetoast dems saying they’re going to reach across the aisle when the other side of the aisle is tearing apart our democracy like meth heads looking for copper in the walls. Graham says things in his town halls that resonate with the truths that normal, working class people see: the system is rigged against them, it’s the billionaire’s fault, and we aren’t fixing anything without the working class standing together. If you genuinely aren’t aware of what he stands for, just watch any of his town halls (here’s one).
its a shame that every argument in favor of Platner needs to be “well, he is better than the Republicans.”
Some day we are going to get a candidate than is objectively good instead of just being better than the worst possible option.
I don’t think that’s a fair summary of what they said. Guy seems pretty cool, tbh.
