It makes it very difficult to believe the Democratic party isn’t just controlled opposition when they tolerate the Manchins and Fettermans of the world. Bending over backwards to appease someone who clearly hates you so you can have an on paper advantage with absolutely no real world application is… actually, having listened to Democratic Strategists speak, that checks out.
