Then we pay the tariff in reimbursements from the government to the corporation after the tariffs are struck down.

This is a guy playing poker with other people’s money with his cards facing the wrong way, and he just keeps doubling down.

Shocking. Almost like tariffs don’t work.

Why should the exporters bear the costs for an American homemade problem?

I first read that as “explorers” and I thought, “oh shit we still have those? I guess they would be burdened by purchase restrictions anywhere.”

Only an idiot would have believed that exporters would absorb the tariffs.
