Opened in 1846 on The Mound in the Old Town, the neo-Gothic towers and the central staircase to the Assembly Hall do most of the heavy lifting. The lone figure in the trench coat walking through the arch framing was clearly hired for scale.

What’s it like? I have friends with similar interests who moved to the UK, although it would be extremely expensive to visit for me. I’d like to think it would be a good event to make a trip / difficult visa process worth it, like we all meet up there, explore a nice city, watch some weird plays, have a great old time.

Good lord that visa is expensive. Maybe further in the future. That’s like 1,500 US dollars for paperwork and airfare alone, and that is a lot of money where I am.
