Okay, I have a 50/50 chance of guessing correctly.
So, I’m going to say have a look at these neat ‘Stalagmites’ I found? 🤔😁

P.S if your country doesn’t have the freedom to roam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom/_to/_roam there’s something inherently wrong.
The way I learned it is that T looks like a hanging stalagTite and M looks like two jutting stalagMites.
I was taught “When tights come down, you might get lucky”.
I wonder if our geology teacher was a bit of a perve?
P.s. I think what we call “tights” in English is what Americans call “pantyhose”.
Stalactites are the ones on the ceiling pointing down, while the stalagmites are the ones on the floor pointing upwards. A lot of people have good ways to memorise it, but my way is by imagining sta lag mites are slow little bugs crawling on the ground, and stalactites are therefore the opposite.
Stalactites hold tight. Stalagmites might.
See, if it’s hanging from the ceiling it must be holding tight, innit?
Never forgot it after hearing this in the 4th grade.
Stalactites hold tight to the ceiling with stalagmites might make it up there someday.
Stalactite holds on tight.
Stalagmite might poke you in the ass.

The way I remember it is stalactites without the e says tits and tits hang
Nah just remember it as stalagMites and stalacTites. T faces down and looks like a stalactite and M faces up and looks like 2 stalagmites
I learned it as stalaCtites hang from the Ceiling and stalaGmites come from the Ground.
Good one, but I still prefer the titties
I also prefer the titties but for remembering stalactates
That’s probably the best one. Otherwise I think of Mites ~ termites, and some stalagmites look vaguely like those classic termite mounds.
Stalagmites might reach the roof one day, and Stalactites are holding on tight, so they don’t fall

Stalactites have to hang tight or they’ll fall.
My way to remember this is simply that stalactites are stalactites and stalagmites are stalagmites, not vice versa.
See my country claims that enough lands are publicly owned to not need that, except the same party saying that is constantly dismantling that too. Its almost like they were being disingenuous.
The other 50 🙃
