I mean, look, ICE has been publicly executing people for the last year and change, right? That’s some fucked up shit, and the people in power show no signs of stopping it. That’s barbarism.
The people in power have nothing to gain from stopping it. The people who are NOT in power have everything to gain from stopping it- but the cowards choose not to.
While there are definitely vast amounts of cowards, do bare in mind that propaganda (i.e. turning on the tv in that country) and isolation (union-busting and other anti-organizational tactics) make average Joe feel like they can’t change anything by themselves.
Which is true, bust most muricans don’t realize they can achieve quite a bit if they organize.
Of course they’d have to care about their neighbors and get off their obese individualists asses first…
