In theory, contractors are legally barred from political giving because that smacks of bribery. In practice, Musk gets a 2,200 percent return on his investment.
Not like it matters. That thing is a bomb on wheels. Even if that big rc car could still flip with a floppy human charging the center of gravity, you’d have to have a death wish to get inside that thing while it’s moving, let alone jumping
200lbs of highly compressed air right behind the passengers… If it popped, it would be like the Titan submersible, except after it turns you into red mist it would also release shrapnel
I saw some video years ago about why hover cars are incapable of stopping. Which means they are pointless as a means for transportation, for the most part.
When something is in the air, there is little you can do to put on the brakes.
Even a jet has to land first, then brake the wheels.
It’s just like a boat being in the water but worse.
There is no way to quickly maneuver nor stop.
The bigger it is, the worse this problem becomes.
Also unlike a boat which still has some semblence of a plane to balance on. Something in the air can rotate 360° in every axis.
Meaning it’s very easy for it to flip over.
Unlike a wave making a boat rise a bit or tip a little to the side, a big gust of wind could flip a hover car over.
The only way to fully resolve that problem would be multiple propulsion jets on every side.
By using multiple redundant gyroscopes and a chip to adjust the thrust to each propeller hundreds of times a second. I hear the wimote has cheap accelerometers that can work, but once it catches on I’m sure people will make specialized boards for this

If only there was a way to have 4 or more sources of thrust to balance, giving you full control over your orientation…
I’m calling it the tetracopter. It’s my idea, no one steal it
But would such a thing work on a larger heavy vehicle holding weight that shifts around inside ?
