My argument is the last time USA had good public services was when the government didn’t meddle with capitalism. The USA government seldom was able to deliver good public service. The Post Office itself has not provided a good enough service, which is why we have UPS, FedEx, etc

I understand the sentiment but I think you have it misconstrued… The reason private-public partnerships start is because politicians (government) want to pocket the extra cash. Nobody is forcing these politicians to agree to these deals. These politicians are just a reflection of the idiots that Americans are:

In my opinion it was destroyed by government.

Please hear me out:

Think about it: all public transportation was privatized. Yet road infrastructure was implemented, funded, planned by the government (local,state and federal). The cars themselves were private but it was the government that decided to build the road and highway system.

The government then subsidize the fuel industry to benefit the car industry so that their road investment would be put in good use. The future for Americans at this time was the automobile since the government was investing so much money into it.

At the same time the private sector public transportation were hemorrhaging riders and the companies had no investment opportunities. The government looked at their service and thought it was old fashioned and decided they were better of going bankrupt.

If it wasn’t for citizens rising up to rescue the remnants of these public transportation companies by making them public sector they would all be extinct. The governments continued to not invest into these entities until the 70s and even then it was sporadic and lackluster. The same government also had to be stopped by citizens in building highways in neighborhoods. So many neighborhoods were destroyed for these highways and only a few were prevented from getting built, all because people rose up!

Finally we go to present day. Government continues to provide lackluster service and we see poor investment in our public transportation. Governments continue to mainly focus on roads and car centric development.

I challenge people to look at Europe and their relative success in nationalizing rail tracks but privatizing rail service. It’s not perfect but it’s possible!

So this is my view on why government is to blame for where we are in our car centric hellscape, USA

This is actually the best point here. Russian and Israeli conscripts literally have no choice but to go to war or have the rest of their lives destroyed by refusing to serve. American military personnel all volunteer every single one of them volunteer. Therefore when Americans commit atrocities just be aware that all of these people volunteered to commit these atrocities like a bunch of fucking evil monsters!

See this guy is a typical American. Other people they don’t matter as much as American lives. So when news broadcast people dead, Americans only care about how many Americans died and then these Americans also have qualifiers. For example what type of American were these Americans that died? If it doesn’t fit their narrow definition of the correct type of American they don’t give a fuck if they died. To this guy military lives are to be worshiped above all. They need to say thank you for your service and then you can make sure all military veterans get absolute access for every single need that they could ever care for. Because the military life matters above all else to the average American.
