Excuse me to be naive, but since democrats voted against slavery abrogation, how can it be seen as anything else than a far-right party?
Republican are clearly far-rightists too, ok… but still…

Apparently genocide isn’t actually bad as long as they give you money.
32 of these are apparently up for re-election.
Any appropriate action to take here? As a North Carolinian, I’m stuck with Don Davis. I wonder if it’s any good to vote in these establishment Dems if they’re just going to go full GOP on us anyway. I’m not even sure if the alternative is going to be worse or better.
Fuck man, I wish 3rd parties were viable.
It’s the House; all of them are up for re-election this year.
In my unprofessional opinion, it is better to force their loss sooner rather than later because it’s going to happen anyways with those people. We shouldn’t be voting for them because they don’t vote on our side regardless.
The issue now of course is that the GOP is literally bat shit insane evil when previously they were just bat shit insane on the dl evil and it would’ve been a lot better to do it this way.
But still, It has to happen.
Yeah, ranked choice voting can help with this problem somewhat
You’re gonna have to get rid of everyone in charge in order for that to happen though…
I hear you man and unfortunately 3rd parties will never be viable with these kinds of Democrats around who won’t support ranked choice or another system of voting.
If you have a couple of thousand like minded individuals, I’d say do a coordinated priest vote with a specific message of your refusing to vote for people who can’t stand up to the GOP even for your 1st amendment rights like those in the Dearborn Abandon movement did.
Otherwise you’d just have to decide if it’s worth it to you to hold your nose and slow walk the decent into fascism or go acceleration and live with the consequences of a quicker decent while continuing to fight for better candidates via progressives in the primaries. No real good options otherwise.
Plenty of independents have raised to power without running as a Democrat. Bernie is a prime example. The question is when people are fed up enough with the duopoly.
No they have not.
Sanders is an outlier as is King. Most others that have been in the independent banner like Murkowski or Lieberman were part of the two parties before.
Feel free to provide citations showing plenty of independents winning. I am just like you, waiting for the people to get fed up with the first past the shitty post but I don’t have faith in Idiot America, both parties included.
Fuck every one of these mother fuckers.
So the other day I asked what the Republican-lite supporters excuse for Democrats once again saving Republicans and then also voting to condemn socialism and now this.
So what’s the excuse du jour for supporting fascism? Literally voting to punish speech here, what’s the excuse?
I mean, don’t vote for them…
But not voting for anyone else with a D by their name because of these asshats, is just going to let these asshats take over the party.
Most Americans don’t get to vote in any election that has any of them on a ballot.
Counterpoint, if we don’t vote for these D then we end up with an R in their district which is just worse in every way.
Women with funny laughs tend to.do this, it seems.
I’m guessing it’s not about fascist ideology, and more about those AIPAC paid vacations they’ve already packed their luggage for. Doesn’t change that they are a piece of shit, only if they have corn or peanuts.
Okay - I just made myself gag.
Brings to mind that saying about sitting for dinner with 9 Nazis right?
So people who refused to get up and leave (vote) when the Nazis barged in and took their seat at the table are just as culpable then.
Good to know.
Ah, I see you choose to be obtuse and dense as a fruit cake.
You mean the people who refused to get up and leave and then voted for fascism are just as culpable? Yes.
You mean a leadership that will do fuck all to punish these Republican-lite assholes for literally voting for Nazi policies are just as culpable. Yes.
The other members who left the table and voted no on this issue. No. For now.
I mean, mine’s up there and in general most hate that but he’s still far better than a Republican in his spot.
Hopefully next time we have a primary challenger worth voting for because his challenger voted for trump. Yeah…
So I’ll put up with him for another two years because while his Israel bullshit sucks it’s the better of the two options in almost any other issue on the table.
And when does the whole “still better than nothing” stop being a viable option when you’re still marching toward fascism with no meaningful resistance from the supposed opposition?
Honestly it’s past time to stop voting for these Republican-lite, fascist enablers.
I would appreciate it if you didn’t spout advice that, if followed accelerates my nation’s descent into fascism. Thanks.
I would appreciate it if you didn’t vote for fascists that, if followed continues to accelerate my nation’s decent into fascism. Thanks.
Vote better in the primaries next time.
I would appreciate it if you didn’t vote for fascists
Yeah I’m gonna have to stop you right there.
Vote better in the primaries next time.
Literally not possible for me to have voted better than I did in the Democratic primary but thanks for the “advice”
And yet here we are with you supporting people who vote with Republicans and slow marching toward fascism.
Do better.
And vote for whom? Republicans LOVE third party candidates because they tend to take more votes from democratic candidates. Run as an independent that is against the state of Israel and AIPAC will come in and fire over 30mil to your opponent and likely end your campaign in most states.
We do see more people running as or adjacent to the DSA so we will see how it turns out.
They really don’t like third party candidates actually. It’s a tossup on whether it hurts or helps them. If they had it their way, it would only be two parties.
What good is it if my state candidate is republican-lite and just side with the GOP on shit like this?
That they don’t side with them on other things. The news cycle keeps everyone only thinking about and upset with the last 3 days or so and wipes anything but the most major events that came before. Get rightfully pissed about this, but apathy towards the process because you don’t immediately get what you want instead of incremental change is how we end up alternating between moderate to centrist democrats after a republican majority and republicans after a moderate democratic majority when apathetic voters stay home.
That’s a lot of words for “Palestinian lives aren’t as important as my own comfort”.
That’s where you’d have to have a coordinated protest vote to be able to focus the message of why you’re doing the protest vote, otherwise it’s an exercise in futility and just the Republican won.
As much as I disagree with the Michigan Abandon voters at the time, still do to a degree mostly due to the whining afterwards, that focused, poignant, abstained really had a outside impact even when overall it did nothing to the overall state election. I think it’s something that really did push progressives forward in this latest primary and why that 30 million fell flat.
I’ll keep looking forward to the next batch of primaries and how progressives and the DSA move forward.
Sorry but that’s truly a moronic response. Because he sucks in this area I should let his truly worse Republican win?
Sure, trump beating kamala means everything is so much better now huh…
The truly moronic response is the dumbass Republican-lite members who continue to vote the same repeat fascist enabling assholes in the Democratic primary, forcing the rest of us to choose between two fucking fascist every god damn November.
No thanks, tired of your Republican-lite bullshit than keeps slow walking us right into fascism. I’d much rather see a good coordinated protest vote like those Abandon voters in Michigan.
Awww, are we testing “Republican-lite” because “blueMAGA” didn’t take off?
Just a heads up: you’ve failed again.
Sad that this is all you have with this comment. Your other comment was much more insightful.
It’s never not a viable option. Voting takes a whole five minutes. There’s literally no excuse to not participate and minimize damage. Whether you decide to do more after that is what this should influence, not whether you vote. If you choose to not vote then you’re just a useful idiot.
Abstaining is propaganda pushed by Republicans. I don’t know if you actually believe the message you’re pushing or if you just bought the bullshit they sold you, but if you actually believe it then you’re only harming your own cause. There’s a reason this message gets spread so much, and it’s because it’s paid for. The only thing abstaining does is makes you feel superior while, in reality, you accomplish nothing.
And you’re the useful idiot that Republican-lite love. Vote blue no matter who, never think about changing the status quo, never hold them accountable for their actions. Just keep on swimming. They love their moderate do nothing useful idiots.
And abstaining from voting as a form of protest is a time honored tradition. But sure go ahead and provide proof that Republicans are pushing abstaining from voting. They’re pushing propaganda about the security of voting to enact laws curtailing the right to vote, plenty of evidence for that. Honestly, you sound like conspiracy theory Republican with your bought and paid message speil, going to blame it on George Soros next?
As far as you state abstaining/protest voting does nothing, I believe it does depending on how it’s done. We’ve certainly seen how it has changed politics with Ross Perot and how it lead to MAGA. We’ve seen how it affected things recently with Dearborn abandon voters and how their stance has accelerated saying fuck AIPAC.
No thanks to your moderate paradise of slow walking fascism, I’ll consider acceleration and live with the consequences sooner rather than later.
Youre the useful idiot Republicans love. Congrats.
And yet you’re the one who keeps voting for fascism giving Republicans exactly what they wanted. Great job!
Not voting is the second best thing Republicans want next to voting Republican.
Choosing to not vote is still a choice. A choice with identical results to voting R. Wax poetic about useless Dems being Republican-Lite all you want, Rs are still worse.
And, he knew you would vote that way. Good job!
Allowing yourself to be manipulated by a shithead in hopes of getting rid of them later is generally preferable to shooting yourself in the foot and ending up with an even bigger shithead
They do this to fracture the Dem party. Keep your adversaries in disarray.
Easy, even the worst Democrat is still better than every Republican. Sure a little while ago 8 DNC out of 212 voted to condemn socialism, but do you know how many Republicans refused to condemn fascism in a November 2025 vote?
There it is! The desperate bullshit of the Republican-lite. It’s better to slowly get to the fascist state than quickly getting to the fascist state. It’s not about the voting for fascism, it’s about the journey. And look, there’s that whole weak-ass whataboutism I’ve come to know and love, the buttery males of the moderate democrat that MLK warned us about.
We’re not talking about the inconsequential bullshit, performative condemning socialism and who gives two fucks about Republicans, who are fascist, didn’t condemn fascism. Scorpions were scorping, oh noes! We’re talking about 33 god damn horrible Republican-lite assholes that literally voted for letting the government stifling free speech they don’t like, a hall mark of a fascist regime.
Absolutely pathetic.
who gives two fucks about Republicans, who are fascist, didn’t condemn fascism.
People such as Democrats and myself who oppose fascism, unlike you.
You must be fucking stupid to say they support fascism just because they have a different opinion on how to defeat it. Fuck your dumb fuck ass for that absolutely smooth brain take.
I think we have enough data from the last 250 years to conclusively say the only method of opposing the conservative party is voting for the progressive party.
Top notch job opposing fascism by LITERALLY voting for fascism.
With those actions, you’ll surely ensure that fascism won’t take hold.
In November americans will have two options: Republicans, the unanimous party of Fascism who introduced and voted for this bill, or Democrats, who voted against it in a large majority.
P.S. the bill isn’t even listed as being passed on congress website: https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/4795/text
EDIT: Now it is passed
Earn a vote for once.
Stop supporting fascism, perhaps.
And thanks for helping giving us that bullshit choice by voting for fascists enablers in the primaries. Thanks but I’ll vote for the Democrats who didn’t vote for diet fascism and continue to vote for actual Democrats and progressives in the next primary.
Assuming these chuckle fucks don’t vote to get rid of elections in there effort to be bipartisan by literally voting for fascism.
H. Res. 1499 passed but it’s not this bill, idiot.
It’s finalizing and consolidating various bills in preparation for consideration.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-resolution/1499/text
Oh look, Cuellar is being a sack of shit, what a huge surprise.
Yeah, he’s shit but I mean, Texas. Not saying he gets a pass but, Texas.
He really is the Fetterman of the House.
Proud that my Rep, Melanie Stansbury is not on this list. I would have been shocked if she had been.
Upset that my rep, Auchincloss is. I knew he would be.
Really I’m more upset that he won by 50 points.
Damn. Mine’s on the list (Panetta).
Hopefully he’s on many people’s … now…
This one is the east side and full of republicans. Not surprising, but disappointing for Kim Shrier: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington’s_8th_congressional_district
She has been voting along AIPAC’s lines for a while. Sadly she doesn’t seem to have any serious challengers to unseat her. She is deffo a DINO.
When The ballot box doesn’t work, the … box will
These are fucking traitors and they should be … and feathered like we used to do in the good old days. And then some
… and feathered
Ass and feathered? 🤔
Surprised resident shit bird Ed Case isn’t on that list.
Me too! Specifically clicked on this link looking for him
Hmm; my rep’s not on the list, but the one for a district adjacent to mine is.
MGP of WA — what a surprise!!! /s
Hell yeah Minnesota winning again.
It doesn’t look like it’s passed the house? https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/4795/text
The link on the page of the Roll Call just takes you to the link I provided, which states the bill has only been introduced and not passed.
There have been several actions such as including it with a group of other bills for consideration or sending it to committees.
I posted the roll call of votes. They voted, it passed. The progress bar is behind.
ETA: Oh hey look, the admin woke up this morning after work and updated the progress bar that apparently is the only way to determine that the vote that passeed, passed.

Now go read H. Res. 1499.
Yep, your right, I read the number wrong. The page is behind, the clerks page logged the votes today on the resolution. That’s definitely my bad.
Either way. These people need voted out.
