  • As a German: I understand that. And while the damage can’t be undone as easily as it has been dealt I’m sure Europe will offer a reformed US a seat at the table. People are angry and confused and the tone tends to reflect that but we know Trump isn’t the only voice in the US. And culturally the Western world is still connected. I wouldn’t worry too much about that right now.

The important thing as you said is resistance. It’s too early to apologize while there are still ways to take action. Don’t be sorry you exist, just be sure to make it count.

  • From the youtube comments:

That’s not what it meant in the context. He planned to be the president 2016-2024, but the FIFA events were planned for after 2025. That’s why he says that it was sad, as he wouldn’t be able to be the president because he would have already served the maximum of two terms. But he lost in 2020 (He accuses Democrats of rigging the election), which let him partake and win 2024 election, so he will be the president during the FIFA events. So he isn’t admitting to having rigged the election, instead he still claims that the 2020 election was rigged against him.

I do think that the election was either rigged or at least Trump believes it was. He admitted to Musk tampering with votes is Pennsylvania live on stage. I’m also convinced he’d happily admit it again. But I don’t think this one is another confession.

  • Americans in my experience are the first to admit the country’s issues and have been since before Trump. Which I’m mentioning because I see a lot of undirected hate towards them. That’s what Russia and China want. To isolate the US on every level. I’m all for military independence and bringing the pain to Trump’s economy but I think nuance when talking about the people is still in order. It’s foolish to assume that this could only happen in the US because the people there are inherently rotten. As a German, ask me how I know.

I wholeheartedly agree with you though. The fact that you’re not at fault for him being elected doesn’t mean you’re not responsible for your country’s future.
