Fair enough. Thank you.

I’m not trying to be dismissive or critical of those who use a NAS solution. I’ve never used one myself, so maybe it really is amazing; but from your response it sounds just like an NFS (or perhaps samba) server with a web interface? I did try TrueNAS once and it basically seemed like that, but also with convoluted permissions.
Again, not trying to be dismissive or anything. Just trying to understand.

I’m unclear on the benefit either has one just an NFS server.

Almost everything in lemmy is formatted in markdown, so for most tasks you can just look up “how to x in markdown.” For example, “how to embed an image in markdown” returns (among other things) this guide. That page also includes other guides if you care to browse.
If you’re uncertain whether you’re using correct syntax, there are many editors - both locally and remotely - where you can test before posting. I like this one. Obviously only do that with non sensitive information.

My mom used to say “it’s cold on the tundra!”

Apparently it’s genetic, so hopefully you’d know whether you were likely to have it.

Scrubs taught me that that can indicate Wilson’s disease.
I’m not clear on whether that’s a question, a statement, a request, or something else.
However, some fifteen years ago, I read and liked Frazz. It’s not C&H2.0, but inspires - or at least did for me - a lot of the same feelings.
