Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump /JD Vance campaign rally in Montana. In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. …And really, THAT song?

I don’t know if it’s the case with her specifically, but most popular musicians don’t actually own their own music, so they don’t have any legal recourse.

That’s why the Mango Mussolini isn’t being sued by musicians left and right: almost all popular music in the world is owned by two or three conglomerates whose CEOs play golf with Trump or someone in his inner circle.

They never make a lawsuit their opening move, first it’s a cease and desist, but don’t count on Sony Music Canada to do nothing.
