as it stands now voting registration is done by the state and not recorded federally so a person in the US who holds multiple state identifications and addressees could be signed up to vote in more than one state since no nationwide log is done just state by state ones

Maybe that’s easy from a certain perspective, but passing the required constitutional amendment would be anything but.
That would require several changes to the Constitution, which is not going to happen any time soon.
