The former president continued his campaign to denigrate people coming to the U.S. in search of a better life

Former president Donald Trump, who opened his 2016 campaign declaring undocumented immigrants “rapists,” took the dehumanization even further this weekend, saying some immigrants are “not people … these are animals.”

“I don’t know if you call them people. In some cases they’re not people, in my opinion,” Trump said at an Ohio rally on Saturday. “But I’m not allowed to say that because the radical left says that’s a terrible thing to say.”

“These are bad — these are animals,” he added. “And we have to stop it.”

Whenever I read Trumps statements, I am reminded republicans lack basic human compassion. And probably a soul as well.

Jesus: Give your money to the poor, forgive sinners, pay unto Caesar what is due to Caesar.

Republicans: Hey! That brown skinned, middle eastern, Jewish hippie is saying a bunch of commie shit! Let’s crucify him!

Yes, that is indeed a terrible thing to say. It’s literally what Hitler said about the Jews. Apparently being anti-NAZI is a radical stance these days.

Yep. It’s definitely not just the “radical left” that says that kind of dehumanizing rhetoric is terrible. It’s all decent people. Trump is a nazi.

Anyone else suddenly reconsidering their position against assassination? Then again, that would probably just make him a martyr for all the nutjobs planning to vote for him. Maybe he’ll cut himself on a rusty nail and tetanus will do us a favor.

I bet we are in for 30 years of “the spirit of Donald Trump said to me in prayer…” From politicians and just straight up denial of his death from his followers.

Putting aside his appallingly dehumanizing comments, I’m just surprised he thinks adding a 100% tariff to imported cars is a great idea. It’s clearly a thing that he believes will win some UAW backing… but it’s very obviously an incredibly stupid idea.

It would make enough money in the short term to cover his legal bills.

If a Pepperami is a bit of animal, then Trump is a putrid turd.

Democrats moved to the right on immigration. Republicans flipped them the bird and moved even further to the right. Now Democrats have moved to the right and are acting like it’s a win.

Because they got to move to the right and throw a vulnerable population under the bus.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

We learn the language,” Moreno, who called Trump a “lunatic invading the party” in 2016, said during his remarks.

“Now we’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across [the] line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys — if I get elected,” he said.

In an email to The Washington Post, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said that the comments were in reference to imported vehicles, not violence.

“Biden’s policies will create an economic bloodbath for the auto industry and autoworkers,” he added.

Responding to Trump’s bloodbath comment, Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer said in a statement, “This is who Donald Trump is: a loser who gets beat by over 7 million votes and then instead of appealing to a wider mainstream audience doubles down on his threats of political violence.

He wants another January 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge.”
