- does everything they can to make becoming legal or staying legal impossible.
- camps out in immigration courts to abduct people trying to get/stay legal.
This is what really infuriates me is that they fuck over anyone who is working to do the right thing within the system that has failed them.
It pisses me off that people are still saying they’re only going after people who are there illegally when that’s demonstrably false. I heard the guy in charge of ICE on CNN saying he thinks illegal immigration is wrong because it’s cutting in line in front of legal immigrants. Well then, why are they also arresting legal immigrants?
I was discussing the “immigration crisis” with some conservative friends and when I said “if you want to stop illegal migration, then we need to make legal immigration faster, cheaper, and easier.”
That simple suggestion infuriated them. It’s not about legality, it’s about xenophobia / racism.
Politicians should not be allowed to appoint or fire judges.
Its basic common sense.
Fun fact: there are no official qualifications to be a judge. You just have to be appointed. You’d think it would be a requirement to be a lawyer first or at least have a law degree.
Judges should be part of the judicial branch, not the executive.
