Haley Stevens’ staff has resigned following the Democratic lawmaker’s decision to jump ship and endorse Republican Mike Rogers for Senate.

Just hours after Rep. Stevens (D-Mich.) officially endorsed Republican Senate nominee Rogers on Sunday, Justin German, Stevens’ chief of staff, said he and many members of his team had resigned.

“As Haley Stevens’ chief of staff for eight years, I speak on behalf of our team in wholeheartedly supporting Abdul El-Sayed for Senate,” German said Sunday in a statement. “This election is too important to sow division or stand on the sidelines. We are shocked and heartbroken by Congresswoman Stevens’ decision to support Mike Rogers.”

People who were supporting her are not going to vote for Rogers. She’s not thinking about the election, this is her soft launching her next money making grift as someone who “left the democratic party”. Those on the right do not care for her she is going to be use as a prop to “own the libs”. She is not the first, this pivot will be short lived and tragic.

I watched the entire Anderson Cooper interview last night. She is all that’s wrong with politics. Stupid shit motherfucker didn’t answer a single question and never dropped the shit eating grin. GOP can have her, she looks like em.

I’m not one to judge appearances but her pale complexion and a grin that seems to be hiding something sinister is probably a clue she couldn’t be trusted at all.

Having watched that interview, they are either having a manic episode or are on a bunch of amphetamines. She was blinking like 3 times a sec throughout a 15min interview, it looked like they were attempting to blink out a message in Morse code.

I’ve seen more than one former staffer/volunteer say that she’s an alcoholic. Can’t confirm, but that explains the glassy-eyed car video where she endorsed Rogers.

Burning what little political cache she had left with aging, uniformed voters for her AIPAC & corporate bribers to push people toward Trump and Rogers. Many people knew she was a tool for the wealthy before the primaries, more after, and now everyone should be aware.

Democrats need to clean house almost as much as republicans do, but clearing AIPAC out isn’t going to be easy.

There’s stupid, and then theres Haley Stevens stupid. The mossad agents must have some serious leverage on her. Wonder what she did to allow herself to be the ultimate rag doll puppet.

I doubt they needed to threaten her at all, a relatively small bag of money would be enough for this bitch. And a lobbying job, of course.

Some people are just truly shitty people willing to do anything to stay relevant or make a buck. You really don’t need to have some alphabet man with a gun to a head to get people to do objectively horrible things. It’s why it always upsets people to see how little it actually takes to bribe a politician, they don’t really have any foundational beliefs, so they sell for cheap.

They tell me always “blue no matter who” but it turns out they’d rather support a Republican than anyone in their own party who doesn’t support Israel

Glad her staff have spines. But they aren’t on Anderson Cooper whining to the American public

Well, the one supporting a Republican over a progressive primary-winner who is not supporting Israel, got kicked out of the party and abandoned by her staff…

Isn’t this actually a good example of “blue no matter who” working in favor of a progressive Candidate not supporting Israel? Isn’t this an example of exactly how you want the democratic party to handle these types of people?

Except the only one who is supporting a Republican is Haley Stevens who lost the primary and has been abandoned by her staff.

Personally, I think it would have been the same. And oz wouldn’t be spending his time pushing dangerous snake oil around safety testing. Let’s not pretend we’re getting anything useful with fetterman.

Completely bonkers that you’d turn my observation of your inconsistency into a platform for an argument.

            Fetterman has endorsed republicans.

            End of.

              Fetterman is a sitting senator…

I don’t think he can change who he caucuses with before January, but if we get a Senate majority of 1 with Fetterman, kicking him out would be insane, mostly because he would likely change parties himself then.

But that’s the difference, Fettermen is a senator and Stevens is a lame duck house member not even in a general election.

It’s pretty obvious why they’re being treated differently:

              Majorities matter.

I don’t often agree with your takes or tone, but you are right on here. As a PA resident who has to own their vote for Fetterman, he was and is still better than Oz. Did he misrepresent himself? Totally. Will I vote for him again? Not if I have even a slightly better option.

But for as political as Lemmy acts, I see so few people actually looking at details. Congressional votes are not private, anyone can look them up. Fetterman is the “worst” Democratic by voting record. This is undeniable. He was bad before, and he’s worse now. But he still votes in line with what he was sent to Washington to represent 80% of the time. He’s still better than any Republican that could get the job. So yeah, vote the dude out the second we get someone running against him, but until then, he’s a win 4/5 times. Push him to be a Republican, and what do we get? Say goodbye to that 80%.

                That is politics.

Everyone also hates Fetterman and if he ever runs for another office there’s no way he’ll win as a Democrat.

You’re completely justified in saying this about Fetterman, you are not justified when it comes to Stevens precisely because nobody is backing her current bullshit.
