As someone who grew up outside the US, I can tell you that every developed country in the world casts itself as the greatest country on earth. Now, all of those countries, except the US, have most of the basics down, so there’s that.
Germans are complainers by nature. But when you look at what they get up to when they think they’re better than everyone else, it’s probably better that way.
