The deal was “you give us back all the hostages and we’ll pause fighting for 2 weeks, oh, but we aren’t withdrawing troops and we’ll probably continue fighting afterwards.”

    Shocker that this wasn’t acceptable.

Israel immediately said they wouldn’t do it, and any ceasefire wouldnt stop their attacks.

But OP wants to frame it as Hamas’ fault and Israel has no choice to continue their genocide.

The one that was started by a Republican operative when online fact checking became a thing?

You think republicans would just make something like that to trick people into swallowing conservative propaganda?!

        No way! /s

Even if Isreal agrees to trade hostages and end the war. Hamas is not going to forget what happened. Palestinians will be even more radicalized and the same shit will kick off again in a few years.

This whole war has fucked any ideas of peace for at least another decade or more. This trauma will be embedded in every Palestinian for the rest of their life.

Another Hamas official, Ahmad Abdelhadi, said that the group was sticking to its demand that Israel agree to a long-term cease-fire and that leaks about the talks were designed to pressure Hamas to soften its position.

“We are not interested in engaging with what’s been floated, because it does not fulfill our demands,” Mr. Abdelhadi said Tuesday in a televised interview with al-Mayadeen, a Lebanese broadcaster.

How about a deal that ends the occupation? Palestine belongs to Palestinians, recognize that fact and you might find them to be more receptive to your “proposal”

Has Biden tried giving Hamas Billions of Dollars and Thousands of Bombs as well? Maybe if he gives that to BOTH Israel and Hamas they’ll listen to him!
