Voters have until October 5 to update their registrations and can check their status on the Texas secretary of state’s website, at a county election office, or by mail. But with a number as high as 1.2 million people, the message may not reach many voters in time—especially if they haven’t moved and it’s the fault of a clerical error.

This is the time to step up Americans. You are supposedly the greatest country and democracy on earth. Land of the free and home of the brave. Time to show the world what the fuck you people are made off. Are you a bunch of fucking cowards that will let this sack of shit steal your freedom from you or are going to step up and take back what’s rightfully yours?

I live 3300 km away from Texas. That’s almost half again as far as Kyiv is from Paris. It’s not trivial to just pop down there for a march some weekend.

This is exactly how Kemp managed to stay Governor of GA for a while, and why Abrams was raked over the coals for nearly going door to door urging people to register.

The fuckery works because people don’t check until its too late. This is not a new trick, they do this every 2 years. The scope may be bigger than ever, though.

My wife got news from a coworker who been pull off the rolls said we should check ours.

Well I did hell my son still has his and doesn’t even live in the state anymore.

We also all registered independents. So Republicans think we are one of their. Even though we always vote Democrat.

Spread the word. Republicans LOVE voter suppression. Double-check your registration, especially if you’re in a red state or red county. Have a plan and vote!

Republicans want us talking about the non-issue of election fraud. They don’t want to talk about affordability, illegal wars, erosion of our Constitutional rights, the protection of child sexual predators by Republican Senators and House Reps, and many other way more important issues.

You know what other major political party that suppressed votes to win and went on to commit atrocious crimes against humanity?

Operation Eagle Eye 1964: a suppression operation aimed at restricting minority voters through ‘voter caging’. This was enacted by thousands of volunteers mostly at inner city ballots where they tested the literacy of voters as they turned up (literacy being a requirement, though not normally aggressively tested).

Lyndon B. Johnson still won though.

Yeah yeah. I know. I liked Bernie, too.

It’s not so much that it was her time as much as it wasn’t his. As in, he was ahead of his time. Now after we’ve experienced Trump a couple of times, Bernie’s policies are a lot more palatable.

We just had to fafo first.
