“The Secret Service came to my door today because of a tweet. No threats. No violence. Just words. That’s where we are now,” she wrote on X in a thread about the ordeal.

She was asked about the comments she made online, and she made it clear, “I want to see their trials.”

Even insinuating that the law should apply to rich fascists is illegal now. All hail the mobster crime lords, may they live to lie, cheat and steal for all ethernity. Blessings.

This administration is openly hostile to American citizens. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have a president who only serves the people who voted for him deserves to reap what they sow.

This dude doesn’t look like Secret Service at all. The source is a Leftist fox-news-like, for profit website with info sourced from Elon Musks Grifter Farm (X), of all places.

This really the news and sources we’re accepting here? Just so we can make circle-jerk comments?

And ya know what, Ima be real and take it even further because it’s a trend I’m seeing. A site with low-effort Quality Assurance is prone to be infiltrated by agitators trying to disguise themselves as in groups both for profit and division politics - this is one of those sites and sources. It’s shoddy journalism from a for-profit “journalism” aggregator meant to incite anger and promote interaction, and Lemmy is full of this shit.

I mean hell, the commenters just eat it up too. Jumps in to repeat the same sentiment as all the other commentors in different formats. Lemmy has got to keep the content cycling somehow I guess, nobody is getting on Reddit case for the same bullshit, so I guess it can fly here?

I thought secret service only visited those who make violent threats against the president.

    This seems new.

Well if somehow law and order stands when this fascist party falls from power. I want to see every congressmember, and white house seated posting tried for treason. If they voted for something or publicly supported something they knew was false or damning to the population, they should be found guilty. And since we haven’t waved the death penalty, I think we should encourage them to remove it.

If they approve the removal of green cards, we should remove all citizenship from their bloodline. It’s what they want, take the trash out

(Also yes, many Democrats will be found guilty as well, your votes should forever be public. You are a representative, a civil servant, you are supposed to be a slave to the population, not the other way around)

I’d be happy with Nuremberg too, as they love fascism that much, lets give them another piece of it.

He asked her again what she meant by the comment, and she made it clear she was talking about officials having Nuremberg-style tribunals for those who enabled unlawful behavior.

They are preparing for the pendulum. Once they’ve trashed cities and ripped apart families, they want to make sure anyone brave enough to hold them accountable is silenced.

I have yet to see anything that shows what her tweets were. Is it in the article but I’m missing it because I block Twitter?

I think the point is that she’s not calling for anything extrajudicial but they’re still coming by to intimidate her.

But without being able to see the tweets I don’t really know what they said. Just someone else’s description of what she said her intent was.

I’m sure it’s still not justified but if they started with “string them all up” or something it’s a bit different.

Just being picky about, you know, knowing what the actual details are.

Remember when it was easy to compare anyone who supported Trump to a Nazi? Now, it’s an insult to Nazis.

One thing that Trump’s 2nd term has made crystal clear is that pretty much all levels of law enforcement are just filled with bootlickers.

Has there been even a case of one department or union siding WITH THE PEOPLE???

Or are they all just authoritarian living assholes?

We also need more liberals going into law enforcement, we’ve completely seeded those jobs to bullies and morons that get off on abusing power.

You don’t go into law enforcement thinking you won’t be shooting someone in your career. You have to want to use force on people and abandon empathy for humans just trying to survive.

Liberals are ill-equipped and it’s antithetical to the left.

A former buddy of mine joined local LE some years back. They tormented and hazed the hell outta him until he was forced to move to another precinct.
        And then it happened again.
Nowadays, he toes the line and has a LOT of really worrying opinions on a lot of things, but he has the respect of his coworkers now.

Do it in the fash social media town square with an identifiable name and they will. Do it here where only we will largely see and they won’t care. Until the rest of the world and the United States wakes up and ditches these fascist platforms. The fascists will gleefully use them as easy surveillance and intimidation.

Oh sure. But they have to work for it here. Generally people aren’t directly personally identifiable here. Or the system scanning and reporting to them.
