I was still an active member of a Baptist Church in the early 2000s and I remember arguing with the leader of my Sunday School group about the dangers of the Patriot Act and how it opens the door to stuff like this. We already know the camps exist, and if you’ve seen some of the images that have been leaked you’ll know the conditions are inhumane and cruel. These new labels can be applied to anyone, for any reason. And make no mistake, you don’t even have to be in left-wing spaces to be accused and disappeared. So it’s not just you in danger, it’s everybody around you. It’s your co-workers, your family, your friends. All it takes is a wrong place, wrong time.
